Lovely experience. I loved the beautiful room and the little touches, like quality toiletries and coffee. The staff welcomed us in kimono, and the breakfast was amazing with perfect details and dishes.

Clean hotel in a really good building just next door to many stores and restaurants, the tourist attraction and Train station and Asakusa Station. Very attractive design of interiors in triple room. Down pillows, comfortable bed. The location unbeatable and comfortable next to Senso-ji temple. Again, not far from a historic temple...

Room overlooking the Kaminarimon Gate brings amazing views morning and night. Breakfast offers a traditional Japanese meal, a refreshing change from the usual fare.
Accessing the hotel with luggage can be tricky due to stairs at nearby stations, although alternative routes exist. The heavy foot traffic in the area adds to the challenge, especially outside the hotel.

Good with personal safe hot drinkable water daily great pillow, Great price Got tv..
however no wireless & public Internet services very slow. Staff can't really speak English.. Better if they can better communicate in English.. No late checkout.. Every HR is ¥1000 charges .. Most other hotels can have later checkout time if no occupation

Everyone who worked there was accommodating. Loved a sitting area, a work desk, and an electric kettle in the room. All the necessary was there, including bathroom with a bidet.
Didn't like the area, it was quite busy.

Kaminarimon ryokan was an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and even surprised us with a sweet card for our honeymoon. Our superior twin room was super clean and had a lovely view of the kaminarimon gate. Breakfast was a good traditional meal that we loved!

The location of this hotel is great! It's right on the tourist/shrine strip. It's also very close to the Asakusa train station.
The room was very very small. (But I hear its hard to find spacious hotel rooms in Tokyo). We booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower/bath area had black mould growing in the corners. The building is very old...so I guess this can happen with age. I can see the rooms have been cleaned - however all the fixtures, fittings were very very old and dated. Also, the room was very drafty, even with the curtains closed at night. Being there in December, and also travelling with a baby..this wasn't ideal.

Couple seeking unique experience
Room was spacious, comfy beds! The views were a delight especially at night looking down on the Kaminarimon and the shops below. The staff were pretty good too help us settle in and even offered to store our luggage while we explored the area.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but worth it.
